Connection Management
Connection management is one of the most important components of the SSL Chef system. Connections serve as the link provider for Endpoint modules used for automatic SSL certificate installation and for Domain Validation Control (DCV) used to verify domain ownership.
Connection List
On the connection management screen, all connections defined in the system are presented in a detailed list. You can quickly find the connection you are looking for by performing advanced queries on the list.
The following information is displayed for each connection in the list:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Connection Name | The identifying name given to the connection |
| Module | The module used by the connection (cPanel, Plesk, etc.) |
| Last Used Date | The date the connection was last used |
| Auto Import | Whether the automatic domain import feature is active/inactive |
Adding a Connection
You can create a new connection by clicking the “Add Connection” button on the connection list screen. Follow these steps in the modal that opens:
1. Connection Name
Give the connection you are creating a name that you can easily distinguish later.
2. Module Selection
Select the connection module. The required fields may vary depending on the selected module. After selecting the module, fill in all mandatory fields required by the relevant module completely.
3. Connection Verification
During the addition process, the system automatically verifies the connection with the information you provided. If any issues are detected with the connection or the information, the connection will not be added to the system.
4. Automatic Domain Import
By enabling the automatic domain import option in the connection addition modal, you can have the system scan the connection at regular intervals and automatically import detected domains.
Connection Management
You can access the connection details and management screen by clicking the “Manage” button on any connection row in the list.
