First Connection

First Connection

After creating your account, the next step is to define a connection to integrate SSL Chef with your server. Connections serve as the provider for automatic SSL certificate installation and domain validation (DCV).

Creating a Connection

  1. Navigate to Connection Management from the left menu
  2. Click the Add Connection button
  3. In the modal that opens, give your connection an easily identifiable name
  4. Select a module (cPanel/WHM, Plesk, or DirectAdmin)
  5. Fill in the information required by the selected module (API token, username, password, etc.)
  6. Click the Add button

Connection Test

During the addition process, the system automatically tests the connection. It checks whether the server can be accessed with the provided information and whether SSL management can be performed.

If there is an issue with the connection or the information, the connection will not be added to the system. Check the error message and correct your information, or contact your service provider.

Automatic Domain Import

You can optionally enable the automatic domain import feature when adding a connection. This will automatically import domains from your connection into SSL Chef.

For detailed information about supported modules, visit the Connection Management > Supported Modules page.

Next Step

After establishing your connection, you can add the domain for which you want to obtain a certificate.
