First Certificate

First Certificate

After adding your domain, you can order your first SSL certificate. SSL orders are created from the domain management screen.

Creating an SSL Order

  1. Click the Manage button for the relevant domain on the Domain Management screen
  2. Navigate to the Create SSL Order tab
  3. Follow the steps below:

1. SSL Brand and Product Selection

Select one of the available SSL brands and choose a product from that brand.

2. Contact Information

Select a contact for the SSL order or create a new one.

You can prepare your contact information in advance by creating it on the Contact Management screen.

3. Domain Validation (DCV)

Select a connection for domain ownership verification and determine the DCV method.

For automatic SSL management, make sure to select a connection for DCV validation. If you choose “Manual Management”, DCV verification will not be automatic and will require manual intervention.

4. CSR Code

You can auto-generate a CSR code through the system or enter an existing CSR code.

5. Order Confirmation

Confirm the order. If your balance is sufficient, the order will be processed immediately. If insufficient, the order will be automatically processed as soon as you add funds.

Certificate Installation

After the order is completed, you need to define an Endpoint for your domain so that the certificate can be automatically installed on your server. You can create a new endpoint from the Endpoints tab on the domain management screen.

An Endpoint is a module that enables automatic installation of SSL certificates to supported environments such as cPanel, Plesk, or DirectAdmin. For detailed information, visit the Domain Management > Endpoints page.

Congratulations!

You have successfully created your first SSL certificate. SSL Chef will now automatically manage your certificate, renew it before expiration, and install it on the endpoints you have configured.
